JORGE TORRES SAENZ

Mexican composer born in 1968, Jorge Torres Sáenz  is composer and art theorician. His work shows an influence of eastern musical aesthetics. Especially, from Japanese and Indian art as well as some ancestral poetry and painting techniques from China. He has experimented with different genres: chamber music, orchestral music, choreography, vocals, and performing arts. He graduated from the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Paris, and holds a Master's degree in Art Theory from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico. He is also a member of the think tank P.O.R.T. Puerto de Ideas. His music has been interpreted in several countries including Mexico, United States, France. U.K, Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Venezuela, Chile, Canada, Japan and Lebanon.
