FRÉDÉRIC VERRIÈRES

Frédéric Verrières learned music by ear and at Paris conservatory. He studied computer music at Ircam and was a fellow of the Académie de France in Rome Villa Medici.

He writes music for both, theatre, cinema and concerts. He works closely with universal masterpieces which he uses to make connections with his own music.

He meets Debussy, Bach, Chopin, Verdi, Coltrane as well as Flamenco or Folk music from the middle east as starting points and re-invents freely those different periods in his own style.

His choice to link these masterpieces to his own music results in a new form between shadows and light, where both model and invention co-exist within the new piece.
